General Motors has officially notified dealers which it skeleton to kill its Hummer brand. To help move remaining product out of the lots, the association will offer rebates of as much as $6,000.
In the conference call, GM's ubiquitous director for dealer network support told retailers which they'll get letters in the few days about finale their franchises. AutoObserver Senior Analyst Michelle Krebs notes: "I'm told GM already close down Hummer's entrance to GM's inner computer systems. So Hummer is officially dead."
